Osseous Surgery in Temple City, CA

What is osseous surgery?
Osseous surgery is recommended when the bone supporting your teeth have been destroyed, and is typically planned in cases that have not responded to non-surgical treatment such as a deep cleaning (scaling and root planing). During this procedure, gum pockets are reduced and bacteria is eliminated by trimming away the infected gum tissue and disease bone. This is done to promote long term maintenance and to arrest the progression of periodontal disease.
